Obituary for Lisa Mae Arndt

Lisa Mae Arndt was born May 2, 1976 in Cambridge, Minnesota to Dave Sanders and Diane Rector and joined her big sister, Tina Toner.  Lisa had an adventurous childhood and enjoyed playing GI Joes, Rambo Survivor, hunting, forts and everything the best tomboys love.  In school, Lisa made lifelong friends due to her loyal and kind personality.

In September 1995, Lisa married Mike Arndt and had two precious boys, Talon and Aden. Talon and Aden lit up Lisa's world, and grew up to be two wonderful young men.  As a family they enjoyed football, the Vikings, trips to Minnesota, camping, hunting, hanging out watching movies together, and especially fishing in the boat on Minnesota Lakes and taking Duke and Aden out to East Fork.  Lisa's house was one where everyone felt welcome and she was a second mom to the “basement boys" who spent many hours there too.

Lisa had the kindest spirit and biggest heart.  Our hearts ache that she is no longer here on this earth.  Over the last couple of years Lisa struggled with health issues that caused her intense and frequent pain, and she even underwent brain surgery to help regulate her intracranial pressure in 2016.  On May 20, 2019, Lisa passed away peacefully in her sleep.  While we have no idea how we will live without her, we are thankful she is no longer in pain and is at peace.

Lisa is survived by her sons, Talon and Aden Arndt; their father, Mike Arndt (Jody); her parents, Dave Sanders (Lisa) and Diane Rector (Tod); her sisters, Tina (Dan), Alee, Beth (Vince), and Tara; brother, Grayden; grandfather, Hubert; nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, the basement boys and many close friends, including special friend, Gary Pautsch.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents; aunt, Mary Kay Sanders; cousin, Matthew Sepple; uncle, Denny Duclos; and cousin, Mason Duclos.

Services for Lisa will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Lewistown Montana with interment at the Lewistown City Cemetery.  Following the committal service, a reception will be held back at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an account in Talon and Aden’s name at First Bank of Montana in Lewistown.

Arrangements are under the care of Creel Funeral Home.  Lisa’s family and friends can share memories and condolences at
