Obituary for Donald M. Hahn

Donald Maynard Hahn was born June 15, 1947, in Snohomish, Washington, to parents George Daniel Hahn and Louise (Custer) Hahn. He attended Central School and Snohomish High School.

When he left school, he joined the Marine Corps. Donald served about ten years in total and was deployed all over the world; but the majority of his service was three tours of duty in Vietnam.

Even though he suffered from PTSD and effects of Agent Orange, Don often spent time with his family, both locally and those on the West Coast. All of his nephews and nieces loved him dearly. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, car races, football, and history. And between his love for the cinema and reading, he was always ready for a conversation no matter the subject.

Donald was preceded in death by his birth parents, George D. and Louise Hahn; brothers, Robert and Harvey; and sister, Nina Hahn. He is survived by his step-mother, Irene Hahn Grinnell; brother, Tim (Debbie) Hahn; his nieces and nephews: Stacy (Joel) and Wyatt, Weston, and Waydon Olson; Lisa (Casey Graybill) and Amanda and James Hahn; Julie (Shane) and Paul Schulze; Jamie (Cullan) Hahn Curry; Sylvia Hahn; Collette and Christopher Hahn and Michelle Grinnell; Jason (Shawn) and Robert Andrew, Robert Ethan, and Robert Zachary Hahn; and Joe Hahn.

Donald M. Hahn, age 70, passed away at his home on October 20th, 2017.
